Nepal-On-Arrival Visa Process

Nepal On-Arrival Visa Process

July 1, 2026

Nepal offers a tourist visa on arrival, making it straightforward for most international visitors to enter the country without arranging a visa in advance. To save time at the airport, it is strongly recommended that you complete the online visa application form two to three days before your departure.

Step 1: Complete the Online Visa Application Form

Visit the official Nepal Immigration portal to fill out your application before you travel:

Nepal On-Arrival Visa Application Form: https://nepaliport.immigration.gov.np/on-arrival/IO01

When filling out the form, you will need to provide the following information:

• Preferred language

• Country of Citizenship

• Visa type

• Passport number

• Date of birth

• Full name

• Gender

• Occupation

• Full residential address

• Contact number

• Email address

• Passport type

• Passport expiry date

• Visa duration: 15, 30, or 90 days (select based on your intended length of stay)

• Purpose of visit

• Last airport (your transit airport, if applicable)

• Last Port of Call (LPC): the airport from which your direct flight to Nepal departed, not the transit airport

• Flight number

• Address in Nepal: the hotel where you are booked

• Contact number in Nepal: the phone number of your travel agency or hotel

Before submitting, carefully review all the details you have entered and confirm they are correct.

Step 2: Download or Print the Completed Form

After submitting the form, a Tourist Visa Application Form will be generated with your details. Download and save this form. The Submission Number shown on the form is important and will be required at the airport, so make sure you have a copy readily accessible, either printed or saved on your phone.

Step 3: Pay the Visa Fee on Arrival

We advise against making an online payment. Instead, present your generated application form at the Visa Fee Payment Counter at the immigration area upon arrival at the airport. The visa fees are as follows:

• 15 days: USD 30

• 30 days: USD 50

• 90 days: USD 125

Please bring the exact amount in cash. Change is often not available at the payment counter, and you may not receive it back if you pay with a larger note.

Step 4: Proceed to the Immigration Checkpoint

After paying the visa fee, proceed to the immigration checkpoint. An officer will affix the visa sticker directly into your passport. Once this is done, your visa process is complete and you are ready to enter Nepal.

That is all there is to it. By completing your application in advance and arriving prepared with the correct fee, the process at the airport should be quick and hassle-free.
